Rather than simply teaching stitches and patterns, we'll explore how crochet can become a tool for design, storytelling, and self-expression.

You'll have the skills, confidence, and understanding to bring your own ideas to life.

Many crochet classes focus on teaching stitches.
We believe crochet can teach something much bigger.
Throughout the academy, you'll learn to:

Your Creative Journey
Level 1 — Foundations
Every creator starts with strong foundations.
You'll build confidence by mastering the essential stitches, understanding crochet symbols and abbreviations, reading charts, and learning the core techniques that every crocheter relies on.
This stage is about developing skills that will support everything you create in the future.
Level 2 — Exploration & Building
Once the foundations are in place, it's time to experiment.
You'll explore stitch variations, textures, construction methods, and different yarns while creating practical projects that gradually become more challenging.
Along the way, you'll discover that even a small change in stitch, yarn, or construction can completely transform the final piece.
More importantly, you'll begin understanding not just how something is made, but why it works.
Level 3 — Design Studio
This is where creativity takes centre stage.
Rather than simply following patterns, you'll begin creating your own.
Through guided design challenges, you'll learn how to:
- Develop ideas from inspiration and mood boards.
- Analyse and modify existing designs.
- Choose suitable materials for different purposes.
- Design with intention.
- Incorporate stories and meaning into your creations.
- Document and write your own crochet patterns.
Mistakes aren't something to fear—they're part of the creative process.
This is where experimentation becomes innovation.
From Idea to Creation
Every great design starts with an idea.
The academy concludes with a guided capstone project where you'll experience the complete creative process.
You'll learn to ask questions such as:
Who am I designing for?
What problem am I trying to solve?
What story do I want this piece to tell?
Why did I make these design choices?
From your first sketch to your final stitch, you'll be guided through the process of transforming an original idea into a finished creation.
At the end of the programme, you'll present not only what you created, but also the story behind it.

No previous crochet experience is required.
